Ballard of Greenwich, Kent

In the Herald's Visitation of co.
Nottingham made in 1614 there is a pedigree of four generations, from Phillip Ballard of
Greenwich, co. Kent, who had William of Southwell, co. Nottingham, who had Henry, of
Southwell living 1614 with sons Thomas, William and Phillip. They were allowed the Arms:
Sable a Griffin Ermine, and Crest, a Griffin's head and raised wings ermine.

There is much speculation as to where
Phillip fits with regard to the Kent family.
Despite some extensive research
there is still no evidence to make even a
valid hypothesis let alone a definitive link. |
