The official State Papers are divided into a number of Rolls, each of which deal with separate aspects of the administration of the country. For the most part these records relate to the people who had crown lands or offices or other official dealings with the crown or senior advisors and office holders.

The transcriptions referenced below where taken by me from the printed calendars of these State Papers and have been reproduced in full with one or two exceptions. The time periods covered are not all complete and work is continuing on this.
