Memorandum that on or about the twentieth Day of April Anno Domini one thousand six hundred twenty six John Ballard late of the parish of St Andrew in Holborn London Batchelor deceased, being sick and weak in body but of sound and perfect memory did make and declare his last will and testament nuncupative in manner and form following or in words to the like effect (viz.) speaking to Edward Sell and Anne Sell his wife said countrymen because you have been careful of me I give you my suit of clothes and my cloak. And I give your wife three yards of broadcloth which is in my trunk. And then delivered a key unto the said Edward Sell and said unto him I pray you delivery this key unto Joan unto whom I give all the rest of my goods in witness whereof the said Edward Sell and Anne Sell have hereunto set their hands…
