AdditionsThere are a significant number of new additions to this section which I have compiled over the past couple of years. ProjectsI have three major projects underway at the moment: - UK Census ProjectI am endeavoring to connect all the Ballards from the 1841 to 1901 Censuses to create a comprehensive research database. This is now nearing completion. First World War CommemorationI want to find out a little bit more about each Ballard who was killed in the First World War so that on the Centenary there will be a commemorative piece for each one. If you can help with photographs, history etc then please get in touch. Early Ballard PedigreesAn eBook covering the earliest known Ballard families and the evidence relating to them. Also includes sections on each of the claimed families of the Early American Ballards. ContributionsI am always pleased to receive additions and corrections and will credit all research material supplied to me for use in this site.

BackgroundThese family trees have been compiled from numerous sources. Some are the result of on-line research only and some have had primary source research undertaken by me or other Ballard researchers. Most of the pedigrees are a result of my Census Project and I have supplemented them with other material available online, such as Birth, Marriage and Death Index information.
Finding PeopleThere are both name and place indices to allow you to find individuals. You may need to use "find" on the places index as there are often different combinations of the same address in the censuses etc. Early American BallardsIf you have arrived here in search of the English roots of your early American Ballard ancestor then this page should be of help. Be warned, however, because if you are a cut & paste "treenealogist" then you will probably not be very happy! Ballard ResearchersI am indebted to the following for additions & corrections to Ballard family trees which they are actively researching. If you wish to be added to this list please let me know.

There are some areas of overlap but it is well worth a look with lots of resource material as well as a Ballard Forum with many active members.
